Our Five

Core Features

Tools designed to support every step of your journey, without barriers or judgment.

01

Hunger/Fullness Cues & Urge Tracking

This feature helps users reconnect with their body’s natural signals by tracking physical hunger, fullness, and emotional urges in real time. Using a non-judgmental 10-point scale, users can log their sensations before and after meals to build awareness of internal cues often disrupted by eating disorders. Over time, the tracker identifies behavioral patterns—such as emotional triggers, restrictive patterns, or binge urges—and provides personalized reflections or gentle prompts for mindful self-check-ins.

Goal

Strengthen interoceptive awareness and reduce disconnection between body and mind.

Outcome

Encourages trust in the body’s natural hunger and fullness signals, promoting intuitive, balanced eating.

03

AI Voice Journaling

Mirror’s AI Voice Journaling allows users to speak freely about their thoughts and emotions, offering a hands-free, stigma-free way to process feelings around food, body image, and recovery. Using speech-to-text technology and natural language processing (NLP), the feature securely transcribes entries and identifies emotional trends—such as stress, shame, or progress toward self-compassion. The system then provides gentle reflections, affirmations, or coping suggestions tailored to the user’s emotional tone.

Goal

Encourage honest self-expression and reduce isolation through reflective listening.

Outcome

Provides insight into emotional patterns while supporting emotional regulation and self-awareness.

05

Fear Food Exposure Exercises

This feature provides interactive, therapist-designed activities to help users gradually face and reframe their fear foods in a safe, supported environment. Exercises combine graded exposure therapy principles with peer encouragement—users can view coping tips, track confidence progress, and celebrate milestones as they reintroduce avoided foods. The tool also allows journaling reflections to capture emotional shifts over time.

Goal

Reduce anxiety and avoidance associated with fear foods

Outcome: Helps users reclaim freedom around eating, rebuild trust in nourishment, and reduce restrictive behaviors.

02

Mindful Eating

Curriculum

The Mindful Eating Curriculum delivers structured, evidence-informed lessons designed by registered dietitians and therapists to help users rebuild a healthy relationship with food. The curriculum includes bite-sized educational modules, interactive reflections, and guided mindfulness practices that teach users to eat with curiosity, presence, and compassion rather than guilt or fear.

Features

Audio-guided practices, journaling prompts, and daily affirmations.

Goal

Replace rigid food rules with flexibility and self-acceptance.

Outcome

Users develop sustainable eating patterns and emotional regulation skills that support long-term recovery.

04

Moderated Peer Forums

The Peer Forums are safe, anonymous discussion spaces where users can connect with others who share similar experiences. Forums are clinically guided and peer-moderated with AI-assisted safety tools that flag crisis language in real time, allowing trained moderators to respond quickly and compassionately. Conversation circles are organized by topic (e.g., recovery motivation, meal support, body image) and designed to foster belonging, empathy, and hope.

Goal

Build a community where users feel seen, understood, and supported

Outcome

Reduces stigma and loneliness while promoting connection as a core part of healing.
